Mrs. Nicole Acle, Councilmember, was appointed to the Wicomico County Council in July 2019 to represent District 2. She earned her Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition Science from Penn State University and a Bachelors in Dietetic Sciences from Indiana University. She is leadership trained for Disability Rights and Advocacy. Mrs. Acle is the owner two businesses: Medical Nutrition Therapies, LLC, a medical consulting business and Graceful Magnolia, LLC, a vacation rental management company. She has over 24 years of experience in the medical field across multiple disciplines and has been a medical nutrition consultant for the last 12 years. She is also co-owner of a medical practice with her husband Dr. Fernando Acle.
Nicole has served as President on the Executive Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, and currently serves as Vice President of the Parents Place of Maryland. She was appointed by Governor Hogan to the Department of Disabilities Assistive Technology Advisory Committee, and serves as the At-Large Representative for the Eastern Shore to the Maryland Coalition of Gifted and Talented Education. She also serves on the Committee for Health and Human Services and National Assoc. of County Officials for Education. Mrs. Acle received the Governor of Maryland’s “Award for Volunteer Service” in 2017 and received a National Volunteer Service Award from the Corporation for National and Community Service . Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Acle relocated to the Eastern Shore 18 years ago with her husband. They have three children: Grace, Gwen and Alexander. On her spare time, Nicole can be found cheering on her children at their sports and musical activities.
